Conferencing in Africa
Kenya ~ Mozambique ~ Tanzania ~ Uganda ~ Zanzibar
Name your destination desire and we will find you the perfect venue for your conferencing needs – Do you have offices in East Africa and are thinking of where to meet?
Lets look at Uganda one of their top hotels has just opened its doors to Ugandans and indeed East Africans following a US$30 million transformation and redevelopment of the formerly government-owned Nile Hotel.
It has been earmarked as one of the prime facilities that will be used when Uganda hosts the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which will be held in Kampala in November 2007 and the fact that it is ready is an indication Uganda is on track to successfully host the big meet.
The hotel offers 32 executive rooms, 108 deluxe rooms, eight executive suites, three business suites and one presidential suite.
Drawing its architectural inspiration from the abundance of Uganda's lakes and rivers, the hotel is styled around a central water theme, which manifests itself in the wrought ironwork, mosaic pillars, hand-carved panels, cascading waterfalls and shimmering water gardens alike.
The Maisha health club is a new addition - a two-storey terracotta edifice traced by delicate white pillars that blossom into bud on its sun-terraced roof. The two-storey building set amid water gardens, echoes the trademark Moorish theme of its sister facility in Nairobi.
Another piece of the Serena Kampala hotel is the Kampala Serena Hotel Conference Centre, a two-storey, hexagonal complex set in spacious gardens. The conference centre will have 24-hour global connectivity, Internet hotspots, direct-dial digital telephones, fibre optic floor points, multiple data outlets, broadband Internet outgoing SMTP mail relay and a studio-quality public address etcetera.
The facilities at the conference centre in detail include the Victoria Hall with a sitting capacity of 1,500 delegates, the Nile Gallery (a multi-purpose space capable of acting like an exhibition area) and the committee room complex with three inter-connecting committee rooms.
Let us help you to put together your next African Conference or Exhibition no matter how big or small.
